Chaplain Gerry Ladouceur and nurse Sandy Millard are just two of the many Community Hospice staff members heading out in the snow to see patients and, in several cases, bring them medicine. Sandy’s meeting up with another of our nurses to go visit a patient who lives on a lake near the Vermont/Massachusetts border.

A great doctor and a great man. Dr. Balint served as a Community Hospice Board member and, more recently, we were honored to serve him when he became a Community Hospice patient. Because of him, many Albany Medical College students now spend time with our hospice staff, learning about hospice and palliative care. http://bit.ly/DrBalint

His distinguished medical career in the Capital Region spanned five decades.

The East Coast Riders motorcycle club is an incredibly charitable group: over the weekend, at their Christmas party, they presented us with a check for $16,500...proceeds from their annual Harley raffle. That brings their all-time total donations to Community Hospice to more than $85,000!
