GRIEF SUPPORT

The Community Hospice provides free grief support services to those who have experienced the death of a family member or friend.

We are here to help everyone in the community--even if your loved one wasn't a Community Hospice patient.

After-Hours Crisis Bereavement Services/Grief Counseling

If you're with a school, business or organization that needs to reach us nights or weekends to set up emergency grief counseling in response to an accident, sudden death or tragic event, call (518) 724-0200 and ask for crisis bereavement.

Bereavement Counselors

A Bereavement Counselor will recommend services after talking with you and your family. Services may include:

  • Grief Counseling, for individuals and families of all ages, at our sites or in the community
  • Support Groups for adults, including Widow/Widowers, Daughter's, Living with Loss etc.
  • Camp Erin, a free weekend camp for grieving children and teens, 6-17 years old
  • Wave Riders, a free six week program for grieving children and teens, 3-17 years old

Additional supports are available for schools and organizations in our community, including trainings, groups, and remembrance services.
